Henry Bence Jones (1813-1873) was an English physician and chemist. In 1847, he described the monoclonal globulin protein which is named after him, the Bence Jones protein, found in urine. Originally given as a series of twelve lectures, delivered at St. George's Hospital in 1849, this work provides information on food, digestion, urine, diabetes and diuresis. With a thirty-two page publisher's catalogue to the rear. Rebacked with the publisher's original cloth laid down to the boards. Externally sound, though bumped and worn to the corners of the boards.
