Agatha Christie is one of the most prolific and successful detective writers of her time, writing sixty-six detective novels in total. She is best known for her protagonists Hercule Poirot and Miss Marple. With an ink inscription 'To Elizabeth, from Sheila' dated 1966. Bound in the publisher's cloth and price-clipped dust wrapper. Externally, lovely, with a touch of fading and shelf wear to the head of the spine. Ink inscription to front endpaper. Dust wrapper is generally smart, with light soiling, a few spots and slight sunning. A little edge wear to the wrap with one or two very small closed tears.
