Comprised of the poetical works of English pastoral poet, William Browne. Born in Tavistock, Browne was best known for his long poem 'Britannia's Pastorals', which is included in this work. Also included are Browne's elegies, love poetry, sonnets, epistles and more. Edited by Gordon Goodwin and with an introduction from A. H. Bullen.With a pictorial bookplate to the front paste down, with a blank space where the name is to be written. Bound in quarter vellum with cloth boards. Externally, lovely, with light rubbing and a little bumping to the extremities. Slight discolouration to vellum, as is common, although is generally bright. Bookplate to the front paste downs.
