Collated, bound without the three plates."Martin Chuzzlewit" is about the eponymous Martin, who goes against his grandfather"s wishes and falls in love with an orphaned girl, intending to marry her. As a result, Martin is disinherited. In a half morocco binding with cloth to the boards. Externally, a little worn and rubbed. Light bumping to the extremities. Marks and discolouration to the boards. Cloth to the front joint is lifting. Hinges are starting but firm. Torn paper remnants to the paste downs. Lacking the front endpaper. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and generally with scattered spots. Bound without one plate to 'Oliver Twist' and three plates to 'Martin Chuzzlewit&apos. Good . Ill.: J. Mahoney; J.
