Farjeon.Each novella is illustrated with in-text engravings. 'Tinsleys' Magazine' ran from 1868 to 1884, founded by William Tinsley, who founded the publishing house alongside his brother, Edward. Both of the authors included in this volume serialised a few of their novels in the magazine. Benjamin Leopold Farjeon was a prolific author, and a self-confessed disciple of Dickens, whose influence is evident in 'Mystery of Roaring Meg' and 'Bells of Penraven&apos.Richard Dowling was an Irish novelist, who wrote many tales before 'London Illustrated News' before publishing his first novel, 'The Mystery of Killard', in 1879. In a full cloth binding. Externally, smart, with light marks to the cloth. Minor bumping to the head and tail of the spine and to the extremities. Small tear to the tail of the front joint. A couple of light marks to the cloth. Front hinge is starting but firm. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean with a few scattered spots, mostly to the first and last few pages, including the endpapers. Very Good . Ill.: Various. Very Good .
