Artists include Sir Joshua Reymolds, Thomas Gainsborough, Romney, Fabre, Sir W. Beechey and Sir T Lawrence.From Lionel Cust, a British art historian, courtier and museum director. He was the director of the National Portrait Gallery from 1895 to 1909. In full crushed morocco binding. Externally, spine is faded with rubbing and bumping to the head and tail, causing small losses of leather. Slight offsetting to the front board. Marks to the boards. Internally, firmly bound.
