The first edition. Bound in a lovely full calf. Wonderfully illustrated with twenty-eight vibrant hand-coloured aquatints, created by Ireland after his own drawings. Collated, complete. With an additional illustrated title page. Written and illustrated by English author and engraver, Samuel Ireland, who was known for his topographical printmaking, compiling six books of views during the course of his life. With the pencil inscription of George Hammon Sullivan to page V and the bookplate of Rollins College Library, as a gift from Sullivan, to the front blank. Bound in full calf. Externally, excellent, with light rubbing to the extremities and joints, causing a small crack to the head of the front joint. Bookplate to the verso of the front endpaper. Internally, firmly bound.
