Burt Arthur (1899-1975), who used the pseudonym Arthur Herbert, was a prolific author of adventure novels set in the American West. This story follows the rollicking adventures of Captain Zachary Sain and Sergeant Major Mike Queen as they resist the Russians along the Californian coast. In the publisher's original cloth binding, with the original unclipped dust wrapper. Externally, cloth is in excellent condition. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean but roughly cut. Dust wrapper remains bright and generally smart, except for minor chipping to the head and tail of the spine of the wrap. A couple of small closed tears to the front of the wrap.
