A very scarce copy of a sermon preached on 26th January 1736 in Springfield by William Cooper, at the Ordination of the Reverend Mr. Robert Breck. According to the title page, this work was 'published at the urgent and repeated request of the ministers and people that heard it&apos.William Cooper was a minister of the Brattle Street Church from 1716 to 1743. This was a Congregational and later a Unitarian church on Brattle Street in Boston, Massachusetts. In the publisher's original paper wraps. Externally generally smart but age toned, with spotting to the wraps. Small losses to the extremities of the front of the wrap. Ink inscription to the front of the wraps. Internally, firmly bound.
