In particular is a relationship between the Cardinal and a Madame Michelin, the wife of an upholsterer of the Faubourg Saint-Germain.Cardinal Richelieu was a French statesman and prelate of the Catholic Church, known during his life as 'l'Eminence Rouge', or, 'The Red Eminence&apos. By Louis-Francois Faur. This was his work which caused the most scandal. He was a librettist, and secretary of the Duke of Fronsac.Half-title is present to each volume. In the original paper wraps. Externally, a little worn. Wear heavier to the spine, with loss of paper. Light edge wear to the wraps. Wraps are detaching a little to the head and tail of the joints. Spines are sunned.
