The case came before Lord Ellenborough and a special jury, and the judge summed up in favour of the publishers.1808 saw the publication of 'Old Nick's Pocket-Book', written in ridicule of Dubois, by a friend of Carr.With the inscription of Tho. Charles to the title page head.A highly entertaining and very scarce first edition. In a half calf binding, with marbled paper covered boards. Blind tooling and gilt detailing to back strip.
