Further hinges strained, but firmly held. Bookplates to front pastedowns. Front free endpaper of volume I tenderly held and bearing a former owner's inscription. Front and rear endpapers of volume VIII removed. Internally, firmly bound. Inscriptions to each title page, and to final leaves of volumes V-VII.
