'No Refuge' was Boland's second novel, published the year after his debut of 'White August', both of which were science-fiction tales.'No Refuge' tells the story of two bank robbers, Robert Claymore and Geoffrey Leary, who unwittingly and surprisingly end up in a futuristic lost world while undertaking the heist of the century. Claymore and Leary flee the scene of their crime by aeroplane, emergency landing in Yademos, a strange, lost land in which the citizens have achieved an advanced state of mental and scientific development. Bound in the publisher's original cloth, with the original, unclipped dust wrapper. Externally, excellent, with the odd light mark to cloth, mainly to the rear board. Author's ink inscription to front endpaper. Light offsetting to endpapers. Dust wrapper is very smart, with light edge wear and the odd closed tear to the extremities. Light spotting to the rear and verso of the wrap, with a little sunning to the spine. Internally, firmly bound with bright, clean pages. Near Fine . Ill.: None. Near Fine/Very Good Indeed.
