With contributions by J. H. M. Robson, Theodore R. Hubback, H. C. Robson, F. J. Ballantyne Dykes, and W. Eyre Kenny, and chapters on activities such as museums, big game shooting, and mining. The Federated Malay States was a federation of four protected states in the Malay Peninsula - Selangor, Perak, Negeri Sembilan and Pahang - established by the British government in 1895. This lasted until 1946, when the Malayan Union was formed - later Malaysia, once it had achieved independence. Illustrated with colour illustrations by Mrs. H. C. Barnard, and photographs by Kleingrothe and others. In the publisher's original cloth binding. Externally generally smart and bright, though darkened to the spine with marks to the boards.
