The first edition. In the publisher's original gilt pictorial cloth. A very scarce work. Illustrated with headpieces. This collection of comedic verse (or 'Doggerels') was written by Edwin Hamilton, the author of the 'Moderate Man and Other Verses&apos. This collection of verse about Dublin is split into three parts, with the first being 'Dublin Doggerels', part two being 'Mongrel Doggerels' and part three being a dramatic work called 'Ariadne&apos. In the publisher's original cloth. Externally smart with fading to the spine, marks to the boards, very minimal closed tears to the head and tail of the spine, very small damp stains to the front board and slight bumping and rubbing to the extremities. Handling marks to the endpapers with an ink inscription to the front free endpaper and a bookbinder's label to the rear pastedown. Internally firmly bound with very lightly age toned and generally clean pages with the odd minor handling mark. Very Good . Ill.: None. Very Good .
