Davey also includes chapters on wines, 'Claret', 'Burgundy', and 'French Wines Other Than Clarets and Burgundies&apos. Collated, complete.Norman Davey was an engineer, soldier, and author, publishing numerous novels and non-fiction works during his career.Bookplate of Charles W. Berry to the front paste down. Berry was a famous wine seller who run the shop Berry Bros & Rudd on St. James Street in London, shown in this bookplate with a balloon flying over. Hot air ballooning was a favourite hobby of Berry's. In the original publisher's cloth binding. Externally, smart. Spine and front joint are a little faded. Minor bumping to the head and tail of the spine. Paper residue to the rear board. Light spots to the fore edge and endpapers. Bookplate to the front paste down. Internally, firmly bound.
