This work was written by the British illustrator, naturalist and entomologist Henry Noel Humphreys and provides a descriptive study on river gardens, with guidance on cultivating fresh water plants for creating habitats and aquariums for aquatic life. In the publisher's original cloth, re-backed. Externally smart with fading to the spine, minor marks to the boards and slight bumping and rubbing to the extremities of the boards.
