The Bulldog Drummond series was originated by Herman Cyril McNeile, a British soldier and author who wrote under the pseudonym 'Sapper' due to the fact that serving officers in the British Army were not allowed to publish under their own name. Gerard Fairlie was an English writer and scriptwriter, on whom McNeile supposedly based Bulldog Drummond. After McNeiles death in 1937, Fairlie continued the Bulldog Drummond series. This was the second Bulldog Drummond novel by Fairlie. In this particular adventure, Drummond goes up against a cartel of weapons manufacturers who are determined to get their revenge, by any means necessary.
