Illustrated with twenty-five plates, some of which are in colour, including six folding plates and a folding map of the Cape. Collated, complete.With two tables presenting statistics on population, revenue, commerce and customs. With publisher's advertisements to the rear and to the endpapers. In the publisher's quarter calf with paper covered boards. Externally, slight worn, with rubbing to the boards and extremities. Boards lightly soiled. Rubbing to the spine, with a tear to the head of the front joint. Internally, binding is tender in places, particularly to the front of the work, with a gathering detached between p160-177. Binding is split after the contents. Pages generally bright, with the occasional spotting, heavier to the folding plates. Ink inscription to the reverse of the frontispiece. Good . Ill.: Not Stated.
