His work provides an interesting insight into the communities and their society, describing a period in his life which he confessed to be some of the best weeks of his life.Illustrated with a lithographed portrait frontispiece, two lithographed plates, and one full-page illustration.Brodie was a New Zealand politician.List of subscribers to the rear.Collated, complete. In the original publisher's cloth binding. Externally, a little worn, with loss to the tail of the spine, and heavier loss to the head of the spine. Minor bumping to the extremities. Spine is a little faded. Spine label is age-toned and chipped. Only a few light marks to the boards. Light rubbing to the extremities. Small tear to the tail of the front joint.
