William Cowper (1731-1800) was the one of the foremost poets of the eighteenth century. He had great influence on the later generation of Romantic poets. With a brief biography of Cowper to the front of the text, this collection includes his best-known poems, such as 'The Task', and also his translations. Contains an account of Cowper's pet hare. In a full morocco binding. Externally, generally smart, with rubbing to the spine and extremities. Internally, firmly bound.
