This work was written by Thomas Hood, an English poet, author and humourist, regularly writing for the magazine 'Punch&apos. This volume is one of many 'comic annuals', a series of annual works that started from 1930 that featured comedic poetry, puns and more, with this work being from his first series. Rebound in quarter calf with paper to the boards. Endpapers and blanks renewed. Externally very smart with minor rubbing to the front board, slight handling marks to the boards, slight bumping and wear to the extremities of the boards, minimal rubbing to the head of the spine and to the raised bands and a very small worming hole to the front joint.
