With thirty-two illustrations altogether, some of which are by Rackham, also including photographs and sketches by other artists. This was one of Rackham's first commercial commissions. This comprehensive work includes sections on Holkham, Burnham, Thorpe, Little Walsingham, Raynham and Houghton. With advertisements to the front and rear of the work. Bound in the publisher's original paper wraps. Externally, sound, with loss to the backstrip and creasing to the extremities. The odd mark to wraps with 'Wells-Next-The-Sea written in pencil to the front cover. Internally, binding is a little strained, tender between the front advertisements.
