Written by British author and schoolmaster, Stephen Southwold, a man who was born Stephen Henry Critten, but wrote under many different pseudonyms, eventually changing his name permanently. Bell was known for his science-fiction books set in the future, such as this novel.'One Came Back' is a fascinating look at an imagined near-future, with a newly founded religion, the resurrection of a blind politician and apparent heavenly visions making an appearance. In the publisher's original cloth binding, with the original, price-clipped dust wrapper. Externally, very good, with light bumping to the extremities and fading to the head of the boards. Spotting to endpapers. Dust wrapper is very good, with light edge wear and a little chipping to the head of the spine. Slight sunning to the head of the rear board and the extremities. Internally, firmly bound. Slight spotting to pages, particularly to the first and last pages and to the fore edge. Author's inscription to title page. Very Good . Ill.: None. Very Good/Very Good.
