First published in 1754 under the title 'The Chronology and History of the World', this work consists of chronological historical tables.John Blair was a clergyman and chronologist best known for producing many editions of this work.This new edition, with a preface from Henry Ellis, consists of fifty-nine chronologically arranged tables, followed by III alphabetically arranged sets of tables, detailing Emperors, Kings, Popes, Men of Eminence, and Historical Events.The work was continuously updated and revised until 1904, although at that point little of Blair's original work remained. In a half morocco binding, with marbled paper covered boards. Light rubbing to back strip head and tail, and board perimeters, otherwise externally very smart. Internally, firmly bound.
