The work provides details on Napoleon's reflections and thoughts during this time. The work also accused Sir Hudson Lowe of mistreating Napoleon. Bound in half calf with marbled paper on the boards. Externally generally smart with rubbing to the boards, joints and extremities, bumping to the extremities of the boards, marks to the boards and spines and fading to the spines. The odd spot and mark to the endpapers with a past owner's name in ink to the front free endpaper and hinges starting to 'Vol II&apos.
