Greenmantle (1916) is the second of five novels by John Buchan featuring the character Richard Hannay from his best known work The Thirty-Nine Steps. It is one of two Hannay novels set during the First World War, the other being Mr Standfast (1919). John Buchan, 1st Baron Tweedsmuir (1875-1940) was a Scottish novelist, historian, and Unionist politician who served as Governor General of Canada. In the publisher's original cloth binding. Externally, generally smart. Slightly faded to the spine, with light shelf wear to the joints and extremities. Internally, firmly bound.
