The author Guy Newell Boothby (1867-1905) was a prolific Australian novelist and writer, notable for his sensational fiction printed in magazines in the late nineteenth century. He is best known for his Dr Nikola series, and for this novel. In the publisher's original cloth binding. Externally sound, with marks to the boards and darkening to the spine. A little shelf wear to the extremities. Binding is slightly strained to pages 48 and 49, but otherwise firm. Internally, firmly bound.
