A half calf volume with ninety-six leaves of sheet music, with the majority of leaves left blank.The first twelve pages of this work feature handwritten music and poetry:The first two leaves bear the handwritten musical notation to accompany the poem 'To-Morrow' by Caroline Elizabeth Norton (1808-1877).The following three pages feature Henry Wadsworth Longfellow's 1850s poem 'The Reaper & the Flowers&apos.This is followed by two pages bearing the notations and words of 'Turn Ye to Me' by Scottish poet John Wilson (1785-1854), although in this volume the poem appears under the title 'The Highland Maniac' in this volume.The following page presents 'The Melodies of Many Lands' by English violinist and composer Charles William Glover (1806-1863).The final three pages of musical notation are without accompanying lines of poetry or song.With three pages of musical notations to the rear of the work, in a later hand, and with the intervening leaves left blank. In a half calf binding, with paper covered boards. Significant rubbing to joints, back strip head and tail and board perimeters. Head of front and rear joints starting, with boards holding firm.
