In the Preface, it states that this work was written for The Christmas Library. Mary Howitt includes a charming piece of information that this work was written in nature. The poems reflect the beauty of the natural landscape. In the original publisher's cloth. Externally very smart. Two small cracks to the front joint. Internally firmly bound. The odd spot on the first and last pages but generally the pages are bright and clean. Contemporary gift inscription to the front pastedown. A small tide mark on the last few pages. Very Good .
