This is his 'Shilling Pocket Guide' to the island for tourists, with a general description of the climate, geology, history, and population; information on the scenery, buildings of architectural interest, and towns and villages; and advice on taking tours around the island. Lacking the folding map. Undated, dated through copies held at the British Library. In the publisher's original pictorial paper wraps. Externally sound, with little creasing to the front of the paper wraps and shelf wear to the extremities. Lacking the rear of the paper wraps, with a couple of losses to the backstrip.
