A mid-19th century memoir of Mary Ann Gilpin, with extracts from her diary and letters. Gilpin was born in Bristol in England in 1813. From 1829, illness prevented her living an active life, and she began to keep a daily record of her life. This volume provides extracts from her diary and letters between 1829 and 1838. Her writings show a zealous Christian faith. In the publisher's original cloth binding. Externally, a little faded with shelf wear to the head and tail of the spine. Internally, firmly bound.
