Kendall is best known for his three separate histories of the Primitive Methodist Church. This work is comprised of pictorial sketches from Bible lands, with views of some of the most beautiful, famous and historical places in the Holy Land, with interesting descriptions. This includes famous religious places such as Jerusalem, Bethlehem, Jericho and The Tomb of Joshua. With prefaces to the first and second editions. With an ink inscription presenting the book to Sarah Bintcliffe for good attendance at Bethel Sunday School, dated January 98. In the publisher's original pictorial cloth binding. Externally, excellent, with light bumping to the head and tail of the spine and the occasional light mark to the cloth. Age toning to endpapers, with ink inscription to front endpaper.
