Edited by Sir Francis Palgrave, an English archivist and historian appointed as Deputy Keeper of the Public Record Office from its foundation until his death. In the original green cloth binding. Externally, sound with rubbing resulting in minor loss to the extremities. Fading to the spine and the odd mark to the board. Splits in the cloth to the joints and across the spine have resulted in parts of the spine detaching from one side, though they remain present. Minor loss to the spine labels. Front hinge tender to volume one and starting but firm to volume two. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright with light age toning to the extremities and minor spotting to the endpapers.
