This world atlas includes the latest discoveries of the time, extensive descriptions and diagrams of places and towns. With an alphabetical index and gazetteer of two thousand towns. Edited by George Washington Bacon, an American publisher and cartographer known for his production of maps of London. Rebacked with half morocco and cloth boards. Externally, smart with light shelf wear and rubbing to the extremities. Light fading to the spine and cracks to the leather of the spine. Marks to the boards. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean with the odd handling mark. Minor tide marks to the front endpaper and light spotting to the first and last few pages.
