This volume contains parts one and two of 'Life Histories of North American Shore Birds' which was part of his encyclopedic 21-volume work, Life Histories of North American Birds, published between 1919 and 1968 and completed posthumously. It is a comprehensive work detailing the habits and distribution of various species of North American shore birds. These parts were published for the Smithsonian Institution as Bulletins 142 and 146. In a half morocco binding. Externally very smart, with rubbing to the lower extremities only. Internally, firmly bound.
