In his early twenties while working in Java, Addison died of fever.This work collects miscellaneous writings from Addison, with titles including: On Various Modes of Divination; Ode to Enthusiasm; Journal from Mangalore; The Persian Repartee; A Persian Anecdote of Chess, and On Marriage Considered as a Religious Contract. In a full calf binding, with gilt detailing to spine. Lacking spine label. Slight discolouration to spine tail. Rubbing to joints, with head of front joint starting, and board holding firm.
