The novel tells the story of their family, and their hopes and fears.Illustrated by F. Barnard with in-text engravings throughout. In a rebacked half calf binding with marbled paper to the boards. Externally, generally smart, with light rubbing to the paper. Minor bumping to the extremities. Small chip to the paper to the front joint of 'Dombey&apos. A few light marks to the boards. Front hinge of 'Our Mutual Friend' is starting but firm. Light spots to the endpapers and fore edges. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are lightly age-toned and generally clean with the occasional spot. Tape to the gutter before and after the title page of 'Our Mutual Friend&apos. Very Good . Ill.: J. Mahoney; F. Barnard.
