Originally the Palace was a guest house for the Abbey, before being greatly expanded after the Scottish Reformation. Many historically significant events occurred within the walls.With wonderfully detailed India proof plates. Rebacked, in the publisher's original paper wraps. Wraps age toned, with significant spotting and handling marks. Tape repairs to closed tear at rear wrap. Internally, firmly bound.
