Written by William Gilpin, an English artist, cleric, schoolmaster, and author best known as a travel writer who originated the idea of the picturesque. Bound in quarter cloth with patterned paper covered boards. Externally, worn with rubbing and chipping to the extremities. Light loss to the edges of the boards. The odd mark to the board. Hinges have been sympathetically reinforced with cloth tape. Internally, generally firmly bound. Pages are bright with light age toning and the odd spot. Good . Ill.: None. Good .
