This illustrated two-volume work is her history of Japan and the Japanese. In the publisher's original cloth bindings. Externally, cloth is fairly smart, with shelf wear to the head and tail of the spines and to the extremities. Small loss to the head of the spine to Volume II. Marks to the front board and spine of Volume I, and to the rear board and spine of Volume II. Front hinge to Volume I is slightly strained but held firmly. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean except for offsetting to the end papers. The front free end paper and frontispiece to Volume I are coming loose to the head of the pages. Very Good . Ill.: Not Stated.
