Belshaw's wife Betty learned the language and connected with women of the community. Belshaw relied on the help of male English-speaking informants such as Ranu Nihara and Osineru Dickson. Research data was obtained through discussions in homes and normal village activities. In the publisher's original cloth binding, with the original unclipped dust wrapper.
