Evelyn Eaton was a Canadian novelist, poet and short-story writer who was known for her early novels set in France, as well as her later novels which explored the topic of spirituality. This particular work explores both of these topics. Pray to the Earth follows the story of Jacquier, a Provencal peasant boy who runs away from his brutal parents to the unforgiving nature of rural France. Eaton explores Jacquier's journey into finding his spirituality, love and passion in life. In original publisher's cloth binding with the unclipped dust wrapper.
