This has been both written and illustrated by George Flemwell, a British painter known for his watercolours, like the ones present in this work. With 20 colour plates, including a frontispiece of the Alpine Garden at Bourg St. Pierre. Collated, complete. With two bookplates, one to the front paste down belonging to Sigrid Mandahl, and another to the front endpaper belonging to the first female chief of a University library, Brenda E. Moon, dated 1971. In original publisher's green cloth binding. Externally, very smart, with some shelf wear only. Light rubbing to the extremities and the occasional mark to boards. Light bumping to spine. Offsetting and age toning to endpapers. Bookplate to front paste down and another bookplate to front endpaper. Internally firmly bound. Light age toning and the occasional spot, mainly to first and last pages. Flowers pressed to page 81, causing slight marking to page, not affecting text. Very Good Indeed . Ill.: G. Fleming.
