Externally, sound with slight rubbing. Fading to cloth and slight wear to the extremities. Damp staining to boards of volume two. Slight bumping to corners and to spine head and tails. Hinges tender, particularly to volume two, with cords visible. Occasional mark to boards. Offsetting and age toning to endpapers. Slight spotting and occasional mark to endpapers. Bookplate to both volumes to front paste down. Internally, firmly bound. Generally clean and bright pages, with occasional spotting throughout.
