Written in 1797, Coleridge only privately shared this work with his friends, before Lord Byron encouraged him to publish it in 1816.Samuel Taylor Coleridge was an English poet, literary critic and philosopher. He founded the Romantic movement along with his friend William Wordsworth. He is best known for his poems 'The Rime of the Ancient Mariner' and 'Kubla Kahn' as well as his influential critical works. In a half crushed morocco binding with marbled paper to the boards. Externally, smart, with only a few light marks to the leather. Internally, firmly bound.
