Collated complete.Plates depict locations including Conway Castle, Wrexham Church, Tintern Abbey, and Conway Suspension Bridge.With a number of plates illustrated artist and steel engraver William Henry Bartlett and engraver and watercolourist Henry Gastineau, but with the majority of plates uncredited.The first volume only of a work that was eventually expanded into a second volume.Undated; dated 1851 via Jisc and WorldCat.Retaining the original letterpress title page.A lovely work, in a delightfully decorative binding. In a full morocco binding, with extensive gilt detailing to boards and back strip. Light fading to back strip, with light rubbing to joints. Bump to head of front board, towards the fore edge. Hinges lightly strained, but firmly held. Internally, firmly bound. Pages a touch age toned to perimeters, with tissue guards significantly age toned. Very Good . Ill.: W. H.
