Charles Cotton (1630-1687) was an English poet and writer, best known for The Compleat Gamester, for translating the work of Michel de Montaigne, and for his contributions to The Compleat Angler. This is a collection of his poems, edited with an introduction and notes by John Beresford. In the publisher's original cloth binding, with the original unclipped dust wrapper. Externally, cloth is in excellent condition except for a little bumping to the extremities. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean, apart from some offsetting to the end papers.
