Title: Portraits LittećoeāRaires
Description: Paris, Garnier Freres, [c1843-1862] . Leather. Two leather bound volumes of literary criticism by Charles Augustin Sainte-Beuve. A collection of articles and essays by the French literary critic Charles Augustin Sainte-Beuve. Published in French. Two of three volumes. With a sticker from 'George's' in Bristol to the front pastedown of volume I. In a blue quarter calf binding over patterned boards. Externally, smart. A little rubbed to the boards, with a small chip in the paper to the front board of volume I. Very lightly rubbed to the spine of volume I, with some light wear towards the extremities of both volumes. Internally, firmly bound. Aside from a patch of foxing towards the centre of volume II, pages are clean if a little age-toned. Very Good . Ill.: None. Very Good .
