Loosely inserted is the business card of the Master of the Clothworkers' Company. The Worshipful Company of Clothworkers was incorporated by Royal Charter in 1528. Their craft was the finishing of woven woollen cloth. They also endeavoured to regulate cloth-working, to maintain standards and to protect approved practices. Now the company works as a charity through the Clothworkers' Foundation. This is a history of the company by Thomas Girtin, with illustrations throughout. In the publisher's original cloth binding. Externally fairly smart, with just a little fading to the spine and marks to the boards. Internally, firmly bound.
